The data we collect within CCleaner, why we collect it, and what it’s used for

On a 2GB data plan, that gives you less than 40 hours of music listening a month. That's only if you don't use data for anything else. Game Pigeon Plus! It’s wayyyyy overpriced. You have to pay $3 for custom skins, accessories, and ad free play? That’s a bit much considering the look of your props and avatar don’t matter to the game. And (most of the time) the ads don’t pop up in the middle of the game, they pop up when you’re waiting for the opponent.

CCleaner reports some statistical, non-personal data from the desktop application to improve the quality of the PC cleaning and utility services that we provide to you.

When you use CCleaner it is necessary for some data, such as the operating system you’re on, whether you’re using a free or paid version of CCleaner, and the language you’re using, to be reported. This data allows us to safely maintain CCleaner and make sure that it works well for everyone. But not all data needs to be reported.

Your anonymous usage data doesn’t need to be reported for us to maintain CCleaner, but it does help us to build a better product. It provides us with statistics about what is being used within CCleaner and what isn’t. This data helps us make decisions about how we develop CCleaner so we can build features that you like and give you a better user experience. You can choose whether you’d like CCleaner to report anonymous data in CCleaner’s ‘Privacy’ tab.

Some important notes about your data…

• CCleaner can only report usage data about itself or its use; it does not report data about interactions with other applications on your computer.
• The data reported in CCleaner is anonymous, aggregated, statistical data that we use to spot product usage trends. It does not report personal data.
• Data is collected in accordance with data processing best practices and domestic privacy laws. We do not connect statistical data with any personal data that we may hold for you elsewhere in the company, such as your email address (if, for example, you have subscribed to our marketing emails).
• Data is securely stored in Microsoft Azure Cloud or the data center of our parent company Avast Antivirus, and is only accessed and processed by us.
• We do not share any data with third parties but we do analyze some data using Google Analytics (you can read more in our Privacy Policy). When you purchase a product from us, the data entered into CCleaner to buy a product (so entered into the cart within the application) is collected, stored and processed by our payment provider, Cleverbridge.

What CCleaner can report and why..

We’ve renamed two CCleaner functions..

The following functions have not changed in functionality, but their new names better describe their purpose:

1. The heartbeat, which lets us know the product edition, license status and version of the software that you’re using (so we can offer updates) is now called Product Maintenance.
   This is listed in the above table.
2. The Monitoring feature, which was controlled by the Active Monitoring checkbox and triggers automatic cleaning and alerts, is now called Smart Cleaning.
   This is not listed in the above table because this feature does not report any data to us.
   It can be found in CCleaner’s new ‘Smart Cleaning’ tab.

Brenda Fricker is essentially synonymous to the Christmas holiday thanks to her role as the 'pigeon lady' in the popular 'Home Alone 2' opposite Macaulay Culkin. But the star recently opened up about how the holiday isn't as jolly for her as some may think. /game-pigeon-imessage-not-working.html.

The 75-year-old Irish actress recently appeared on The Ray D'Arcy Show and admitted that Christmas time 'can be very dark' for someone who lives alone, like herself.

'I would be lying if I said that it would be a nice and happy Christmas because .. I'm old and I live alone. It can be very dark,' she said via People magazine.

The Oscar winner shared that she usually unplugs from her phone when the holiday rolls around and has 'put the blinds down' in years past.

'I do pre-record some good programs, and I have my dog and I get myself through it that way,' she continued. 'I don't want to be sounding kind of negative but it is a different kind of Christmas, that's all.'

Fricker noted that she is not blind to the fact that so many find joy from 'Home Alone 2' and will likely be watching it on Christmas while she's at home with no big plans.

'Well, the pigeon lady was very much on her own,' she said of her character in the iconic film.

While Fricker's Christmas Day sounds rather bleak, the actress said it's New Year's Eve that she finds to be particularly hard.

'What I do find very difficult is New Year's Eve,' she said. 'I can't get away from the bells.'
